Stop HIV: Spray to Change Attitudes

Last year over 5 million people were newly infected with HIV. More than half were aged between 15 and 24.

Raising awareness of how HIV is transmitted is one of the best ways we can help stop the epidemic. By empowering young people to fight stigma, break taboos and smash ignorance we can change attitudes - and help save lives.

As part of our ongoing commitment to HIV and AIDS awareness, we've teamed up with MTV to launch the 'Stop HIV: Spray to Change Attitudes' campaign. Together we're working to raise awareness amongst young people about HIV and AIDS, and raise funds for MTV's Staying Alive Foundation, who support grass-roots charities around the world to help raise awareness and educating young people about HIV and AIDS.

In support of our campaign, Australian graffiti artist Sarah Howell, renowned for creating intricate and vivid collage work, has created this stunning one-off original artwork 'Rougeberry Original' for auction. All proceeds raised will go to our partner charity, MTV's Staying Alive Foundation.

Howell is giving her support to help tackle the epidemic;

"This collaboration with MTV and The Body Shop was very important to me as I feel we all need to do more to create awareness about AIDS. I was honoured that I had a chance to create something that will affect change so I wanted the image to be bright, striking and relevant to the "Spray for Change" motto. The artwork, layers of collage, paint and computer mixed media reflects how one person can be uplifted and made beautiful through this product by donating a small amount to charity. I liked the idea of her soul unleashed in a frenzy or flowers and colour which is reflected in the uncontrived and textured collage."

Together we can make a real and positive impact on the lives of young people around the world.
