At a time when green has become the latest buzzword on everyone’s lips, it seems we are too!
Marketing Week has reported that The Body Shop has come out on top as the greenest retailer and most environmentally friendly brand, leaving all our competition green with envy!
We have also been voted the Top Green Brand in the UK and the eighth greenest brand in the US. These findings are according to the recent 2007 Image Power® Green Brands Survey and Marketing Week / Brand Index Online Survey.
Marketing Week also named us as “trying its best to be environmentally friendly”.
These polls mark a rise in consumer awareness of green issues and their changing attitudes towards environmentally responsible purchasing. Over two thirds of consumers interviewed said that the “greenness” of a brand is a key purchasing influence.
"There is no doubt that the universal adoption of basic green ideas has been possibly the swiftest shift in consumer attitudes we have witnessed in recent times. It has certainly been faster than the internet revolution and the take-up of mobile phones."
