We use naturally moisturizing Community Trade babassu oil from
Brazil in our Spa Wisdom range. One of the world's best natural
moisturisers, it comes from the nut of the babassu palm that grow
wild in the humid forests of the Amazon Basin. The local women
collect the fallen nuts, break them over an axe and sell the
kernels to COPPALJ, our Community Trade partner. In an area of
little industry, this is an important source of income, and because
it's Community Trade, the women receive a fair and reliable
income.
